Mission Statement
At LaLa Leads, preserving resources is my core ethos. I pledge that any means of production I use, will be as environmentally conscious as possible. To make my collars, leads and other accessories, I use upcycled rope that has been cast aside by the marine industry. This rope is designed for race yachts and other high-performance yachts. It’s hard wearing and long lasting nature, which makes it so useful for boats, unfortunately makes this rope non-recyclable.
That’s where I step in!
The qualities of the rope that restrict its ability to deteriorate, are what make it such a practical material for my leads, collars and accessories. The rope is durable, resilient and the vibrant colour will not fade. Plus, it does not absorb water and is lightweight yet strong. With each purchase, you are saving the rope from a trip to landfill where it will take centuries to deteriorate.

Collaboration with Alpine organisation ‘One Tree at a Time’.
The guys at One Tree are on a mission to make the alpine industry more sustainable through supporting different businesses, organisations and individuals to bring about positive environmental change. One Tree firmly believe we have a responsibility to tackle our environmental impact. The guy behind this, the wonderful Gav, helps organisations to implement easy and practical solutions that evoke widespread eco consequences. One Tree has transformed businesses through workshops, one on ones, social media content and the implementation of pledges. To date, they have removed over 10,000 single-use plastic bags from supply lines, hugely reduced carbon footprints through their creative re-use programmes and saved realms of material from landfill through second-hand placement.

For each purchase made, a tree will be planted through One Tree. There is also an option at checkout for the customer to plant a tree of their own accord. The more trees we plant together, the more carbon dioxide will be removed from the air, the more oxygen will be released into the atmosphere, and the happier plants, animals, and the Earth will be!
