LaLa Loop Puppy Set Rental
Hello you lovely lot!
This week’s blog post is super exciting and one I have been waiting to finalise for ages! It is a big part of my efforts in working towards a circular economy. Today, I will be activating my puppy rental set! I am starting this off in a simple way, I won’t be changing the purchasing options, instead I ask that you contact me to rent your puppy set. I will lay out the system step by step here and add a link to it in the puppy section of the shop. Let’s use my friend Hen as an example:
· Hen picked up her GORGEOUS cocker spaniel puppy, Ghillie. When he got home, he weighed 4kg; a week later he weighed 6kg.
· Hen’s puppy is growing very quickly as puppies have a bothersome habit of doing.
· Using the LaLa Loop system, Hens has rented a yacht rope puppy collar and lead for Ghillie, which is adjustable, comfortable, super smart (see adorable picture below) and will not be going to landfill any time soon.
· When Ghillie is fully grown, in about six months’ time, Hen is going to return the puppy set to me, in return for a 30% discount at LaLa Leads, so she can order his adult collar and lead set*.
· I will wash and reuse Ghillie’s puppy lead and collar, so these products can be put back into the system of consumption rather than being thrown away.
· We have ourselves, a small business, working towards a circular economy, using the LaLa Loop system!
I am so excited to launch the LaLa Loop system; please get in touch if it is something you are interested in taking part in. By taking part, you are contributing to the development of a circular economy. Though I am a small business, I believe that change has to start somewhere, and I am really passionate about doing my bit for our planet.
Another point I want to add is that, for all the good will in the world, we are sentimental creatures, and the LaLa Loops system may not appeal to everyone. If this is the case, and you would like to treasure your puppy’s first set, when you order your adult set, I would be happy to remake the puppy set into a rope bracelet or keyring for yourself.

Terms and Conditions
* Disclaimer: the discount percentage is calculated based on wear and tear. The maximum discount code granted for return of the puppy set is 30%, this is for a lead and collar in relatively good condition. I am very much aware that puppy teeth are super sharp, and this will be taken into account on assessment of your returned products. The minimum discount code received for return of the puppy set is 15%, for leads and collars that are not in good condition.
- I don’t want to leave your pups naked while you wait for their adult set to arrive, so I would ask that you send me a photo of your puppy set a week prior to ordering your adult set. This means I can assess the quality of the products and consequently grant your discount code. Your order will then be shipped, and you would only return your puppy set upon arrival of your adult set. Please note this system relies on trust and a good relationship between client and seller.
- The client will be responsible for payment of return postage. Please return package to address on order form.
- This is very much an ‘opt in’ system. Your statutory rights will not be affected if you decide not to opt in. I will still be selling and producing the puppy set regardless of whether it is being rented or not. If you want to ensure you receive a brand new, never worn puppy set, please contact me prior to your order.
- The quality of your product will not be affected by this system. When the puppy sets reach the point of visible deterioration and decreased efficiency, I will reduce their price or repurpose them in other ways. When the rope genuinely has no use left, it will be sent to the appropriate recycling facilities.
